Best places to eat on a "guy's weekend"? |
Travel Info We'll be heading back down to KC from Minnesota in April to catch a couple of ballgames at Kauffman. Other than Arthur Bryant's (no-brainer), where else would be a good place to eat for 3 laid back guys? Travel Tips THE LEVEE Bar & Grill in Westport is where its at 16 West 43rd Street Kansas City, Missouri 64111 http://www.thelevee.net/contact.html... Others 3 Laid black guy's ? LOL. Go to Haywards Pit BBQ .Better than Arthur Bryants . Unfortunately, as you may know, there isn't a lot in the immediate vicinity of Kauffman in terms of places to eat or entertainment in general. If I were you, I'd go downtown to Tanner's, the Quaff, John's, or some place like that for bar-type food. As the other poster suggested, The Levee is cool too. Famous Dave's BBQ (from MN) also has a location downtown if I remember correctly. You could also try Gates BBQ on Main in midtown. if ur straight then hooters!!!!but if ur not then i really don't know! What part of town is your hotel going to be in? I wouldn't recommend one close to the stadium since there isn't anything around there to do. If you are flying in, get a hotel around KCI. Then you guys can hang out at Zona Rosa. They have a comedy club, and tons of bars and restaurants. It is at I-29 and Barry Road. Another fun place is the Legends at I-435 and State Avenue in Kansas City Kansas. Tons of restaurants, movie theater, bars, Dave and Busters (which is an adult arcade) and Pin-up Bowl. Plus, you could also catch a T-Bones baseball game, which in my opinion is a lot more fun than watching an overpriced Royals games in an overpriced, outdated stadium. 31 years living in the KC area Head down to Olathe! They have great "guy friendly" resturuants. Like The Other Place...Texas Roadhouse...and MANY more. |
