Great Wold Lodge area?

Travel Info
I am 1 of 4 moms taking our daughter(s) to Great Wolf Lodge in May (for girl scouts). We are going over the weekend and are not sure if the girls will want to venture out anywhere else. However, if they do, do you have any suggestions on where/what we could do in that area? Any ideas on creative things we could do to make their trip more fun?

Travel Tips
There is a lot very close by in Village West that you and the kids will really enjoy. Visit T-Rex - my kids LOVED this...
Cabela's, and lots of shopping and resturants at the Legends.
There is a movie theatre at the Legends as well, but my guess is that you won't even want to leave the Great Wolf Lodge. The waterpark and arcade in there are REALLY fun for kids and adults!

KC Zoo, City Market, Crown Center and Union Station are not close to this area, so unless you want to drive over to the Missouri side, most of the things mentioned by an above poster would be a drive. Source(s): I live near Village West and I have been to Great Wolf Lodge twice.
Other Travel Tips
That entire area is great. Lots of things to do! I would suggest going to Legends shopping center they have a great resturant called T-Rex that my daughters just loved. You will have plenty to choice from and just minutes away. Have fun!
You guys will just love Great Wolf Lodge! There really is a lot to do there and the waterpark is just gret. Also the rooms are nice and the staff is just wonderful. We are adults and we have a good time there! Science City at Union Station is pretty fun. There is some other stuff to do there, perfect for kids.

Also how about the city market? Fun for all ages and some good shopping. You can find all kinds of things here. If they like shopping the Crown Center is fun to walk around in. Amazing place. Good shopping but also just a lot to look at!
Googles of fun is a kids interaction center. I have not been to to it in a while, arts and crafts, climbing area pretty neat. Here is their website:

Well I hope that helps you, I am pretty sure the girls are going to want to spend time at Great Wolf again the place is just wonderful. Check out the websites, maybe have the girls look at the site and see what they would like to do. Have a great trip!
They will want to go to Cabela's to look at the fun camping equipment and "stuffed animal parade" and "giant fish tanks" ... they'll want to go to the Legends area nearby for shopping... and maybe even Nebraska Furniture Mart, and possibly a KC T-Bones baseball game...
