Kansas Tornado !? |
Travel Info If the the tornado took place in Greensburg , Kansas...do u think the people in kansas city will be affected by the tornado too? Travel Tips I've lived in Kansas my whole life and I've always found it amazing at how different the weather can be from one side of the state than the other. Sunny and warm on one side and snowing on the other, etc. Probably cause the western side is adjacent to Colorado. I have yet to see a tornado myself and will be happy to never see one. So in answer to your question, KC was not at all affected by the tornado, the two cities are no where near each other. We have had a lot of rain though. Others no.....i lived in westport 10 years ago. tornado hit lenexa. much closer than greensburg. didn't affect me at all. You know, I spent all of my growing up years in Kansas and Oklahoma and never saw a tornado once! (I did the tornado Safety Dance a million times, but never saw a tornado). In a sick sort of way I've always been disappointed in that! *hehe* i really hope you were joking...considering that greensburg in over 4 hours southwest of KC, i find it highly unlikely that the same tornado would hit both places. If anyone is interested in helping - contact www.katrinasangels.org They are actively helping the area now and taking donations. I live in Wichita and the chances of another storm like that one hitting the same place is astronomical. We are all experiencing flooding and rain and anything can happen but I don't worry about it...Just take it as it comes. People in KC are fine. All they are experiencing there now is a ton of rain. |
