Travel Info Looking for a great lake to go fishing within an hour or so of kansas city ,mo....any suggestions? Travel Tips Not much south. You'd have to go down to Bates county or even farther south (Cass has nothing). Lake of the Ozarks is nice, but it's always packed and a long drive. Have you checked out Lake Lotawana? It's in a fairly nice area so I would assume the lake is pretty nice as well. Others Smithville lake is very popular. Up north fo the airport. South side? There's a good lake by Louisburg, too! Lake of the Ozarks is a great place and has Many amenities. with accomodations to fit any budget. Smithville lake is a good place to fish if you have a boat. Lake Perry is great you can fish for crappie right off of the marina docks or rent a boat for a very reasonable price. try longview lake. |
