Kansas City, KS really has a lot of the newer stuff. But out there it's mostly shopping and eating. That's were all the good new restaurants are. In KCMO, there's a lot more to actually do. I really like the downtown area. There are a few big art museums if you're into that. The Nelson and the Kemper are pretty close to each other. The Nelson is much larger and the Kemper is more contemporary. And on the first friday of every month, the art district (around 19th and main) is always really busy. The river market has some activities going on once in a while and there's a farmer's market there every weekend... There are a few casino's... Ameristar is the biggest. Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun are theme parks that are side by side. If you haven't been to the Liberty Memorial, Union Station, or Crown Center, I would suggest visiting those places. They're all in the same location- main and pershing. Powell gardens is a botanical garden that is out farther east of the city. You could see a ball game... not that the Royals are that great though. Starlight theatre has several musicals each year... this year includes the Wizard of Oz and West Side Story. Stanford and Sons is a live comedy house... one location down in Westport, and another location out in KCKS. And there are some good jazz clubs around town too. And of course KCMO and KCKS both have all the regular fun stuff- golfing, bowling, bars, shopping, eating, etc. The newspaper lists activities going on around town each week. Hope this helps you :) threre are many things to see in k.c. but the funnest thing to go do is go see the is royals,chiefs or the wizards!!!!!!!!!!!! and threre are more things to do and here they are crown center, foutains a cross the street, Negro leuges and jazz musiuams, worlds and ocean of fun and many, many, many more!!!!!!!! KC Chiefs (if football season) KC Royals (if baseball season) The Plaza-shopping/dining Great Wolf Lodge Worlds of Fun Oceans of Fun There is a ton for people of all ages! |
