Travel Info What is the half way point between Chicago, IL and Kansas City, MO? Travel Tips I'd stop in quincy if your taking the highway to Kansas city. If your taking the interstate it would be st. St.louis Missouri if you need a big city and prefer interstate travel. St. Louis! Who are you meeting?? It all depends on which way you go. On my most recent trip to Chicago (as an alternative to driving through St. Louis), I drove I-35 north to Cameron, MO. Then US 36 to Hannibal, MO and I-72 to Springfield, IL, then I-55 to Chicago. The halfway point on this route is about Pittsfield, IL. You can also drive I-35 northto Des Moines, then east on I-80. The halfway point this way is about Iowa City, Iowa. Depends on which way you are going. Either Des Moines Iowa, or St Louis Missouri. Both of these cities are a little bit closer to KC than to Chicago, but if I were wanting to meet in between, I would pick one of these. |
