Travel Info Does anyone know a good place to get eloped in Kansas? Travel Tips I'm not sure where in Kansas you live but if you are close to south east Kansas, you can just go down to Miami, Ok. They have a "Las Vegas" style wedding chapel there. I think we are going to elope there as well. The whole thing takes about an hour, you go get your marriage license at the courthouse then walk across the street to the chapel, the minister says the vows and off you go! I heard that there are a couple of them in Eureka Springs, AR but I haven't found any by googling it. Miami is about 30 minutes from the Kansas border, sort of by Tulsa. So unless you live in Western Kansas, its really not too far. There is a nice lake nearby called Grand Lake, since you are driving, you could make a little honeymoon there. Anyway, good luck on your wedding and marriage! Others old navy Try your local town hall. Usually, they have a Justice of the the Peace perform the ceremony for you. It usually costs a small fee, and maybe money for the marriage license/ certificate. I got married in Miami OK. Right over the border. Not as flashy or as trashy as Vegas. Used to be a 3 day wait in KS and MO - don't know if it still is or not. That is why we went to OK. They have all the little chapels like you are talking about. I think I got married at LaVerne's. Horrible name but that was quite a few years ago. Everyone I have known from Kansas City who wanted to "GET ELOPED" went to Miami OK.........think about waiting on kids until your grammar improves. |
