Can you tell me if the safaris are now overrun by western tourists? I'd love to go on a safari, but don't want to be on a trip where I feel like I'm at my local wildlife park with tons of tourists. No offense to tourists (I'm one, obviously), but I like to be somewhere a bit unique. Thanks.
Travel Tips
Well the trips are organized by Kenyan firms and the guides are Kenyans but i cannot promise you that you will be hanging around with Kenyans in the parks... you know, apart from the guides and the staff in the parks and hotels, these sort of trips are mostly, with all due respect, too expensive for most Kenyan families so they can only do this kinda thing once an year during the holidays, so maybe you should target end of year if you dont want to see a lot of tourists in the parks and hotels.
Altenatively you can have a totally differnt kenyan experience outside the well known parks by visiting other choice places where more kenyans hang out. |
