Travel Info i go o the 7th of june does any one know what the weather is like there(pls dont just copy a weather map) i am going to the lake nakuru, mount kenya national park, lake naivasha, great rift valley, masai mara, nyeri n bk to nairibi. it is an organised tour but just didnt know what cloths to take and anything eles i should kno bout if any one does? i have bonoculars and a hat glasses the essentials but just wondered if peep have been on simular thing whatthey would advise? cheers xx Travel Tips Iv been there around this time, you'll need 1 or 2 warm clothes (it gets chilly at times), but over all take jeans, shorts, and summery clothes - combat trousers, peddle pushers, dungarees. Try and take a few long sleeved tops, or you'll get sun burnt badly. although do remember to get lots of insect repellent! and a cap or hat! Others combats and natural colours. shorts that sort of stuff oh and boots Safari clothing! (green kaki ones) and clothing that absorbing the sweat. Its a hot, humid country. Don麓t forget moscito麓s are present day and night! But I麓ve done it 3x and loved it! Have fun and take pictures! Koukou yango! as i have lived there before suggest you take long but thin/cool trousers for walking and the evenings as well as a thin jumper/sweatshirt. if you are going to climb mt Kenya you should take some warm clothing eg.jeans. everywhere else you will need shorts t-shirts and lots of sun cream. the weather will be hot but not that humid but it should be good. enjoy!! hi i come from Botswana but i suspect the weather is much the same , so i would advise cargo pants, jeans and T shirts however june is winter in africa and believe it or not it does get quiet cold so a warm jacket is highly recommended, Enjoy !! Emmy I live in Nairobi. I would take a couple or so sweaters/cardigans and some warmer trousers, ie not just shorts. In June it begins to get colder. July and August are the coldest. Not cold like we know it in the UK but you could be a bit chilly. Experience. |
