Travel Tips Yes it is very safe but probably you should have said more about what you mean by safety. But here are the truths (am in Kenya and am a tour operator so you can trust my word). Facts: +From Nairobi to nakuru by road (either by public or private transport means) its a 3 hrs drive.Enroute you will see besides other attarctions: the great Rift Valley via several viewpoint and varying altitudes along the major highway. This is for free. You shall see the volcanoc mountain , Mount Longonot, you shall also see the Longonot Earth Station, The Lake Naivasha, vast floricultural farms known for their roses (eg Oserian, Homegrown among others), You will see plenty of wildlife mostly Zebras (black and white strips) gracefully grazing by the road side, gazzeles and antelops, monkeys and if lucky girraffes. then you will see the next lake , Lake Elementaita (has flamingoes) just before you get to lake NAkuru where now a whole new difference starts. Birds species, Rhinos, Flamingoes (Pink), buffalloes, other herbivores.... its amazing. The Nakuru town is alive in the night ..for music lovers and for those who want a quite night..A plenty of budget and bush hotels available. Camping is also available especially by the Menengai crater which i tell you its a wonderful and awesome place to be.Game drives are the common activity. THEY HAVE EBOLA No problem. Very safe. It is a short journey to Nakuru and the National Park is known for its flamingos and rhino as well as a variety of other wildlife.
