Is South Korea a third world country?

Travel Info
What are the occupations of most South Koreans?

Travel Tips
Absolutely not, South Korea is considered to be a developed or fully industrialized country. Although there are no conventional standards which are used to measure under-developed, developing or developed countries, South Korea, by most all standards is considered fully developed. You'll find the same types of jobs there as you would in Western Europe and the U.S.. In a recent survery I read, South Koreans were considered to be the most technologically advanced people in the world as far as incorporating technology into their everday lives. Others
Hardly. Third world countries don't normally manufacture automobiles, of which Hyundai is one. North Korea, however, might be considered third world in a lot of respects. As an industrialized nation, the prevailing occupations are probably quite similar to the US, but they probably have more manufacturing than we do.
no
South Korea is an advanced country with big businesses and many wealthy people. It has one of the strongest economies in Asia (after Japan and China).

Just like any country, there are many occupations. Societies need different people to do different jobs.

If you were serious with your question, you better learn about the world where you live in. Modern Asia is totally different from what you know.
Common Sense

And South Korea is one of the most heavily Internet wired countries in the world. 60% of South Korean homes have high speed internet access. Online gaming has basically become the national pastime (You can make a lot of money as a professional Starcraft/Warcraft player there)

Approximately 90% of all Koreans own a cell phone.
