Question about South Korea?

Travel Info
Greetings,
I'm about to be deployed to Korea for a year with the Army. I'm curious as to how much Jungle, if any, Korea has.
Thanks

I just hope you don't get stuck on the DMZ. My ex was there for a year...he came home a totally different person. The troops we have on the DMZ are the most forward deployed troops we have besides the guys in Afghanistan and Iraq...but of course you already know that. Good luck over there...and thank you so much for doing what you do so that my son can grow up in peace in the greatest country in the world.

Korea doesn't have any. Korea is great though.
I don't know about any jungles in Korea. But pray that you get stationed near Seoul and not up north / Area 1. Too many rules there. (i e curfew, no car, you have to live on post) Horrible. Atleast you're an E5.
Yep, no jungles. There are some very nice areas where you can see some great scenery such as Cheju Island.

But most of Korea has big, urban cities, some rural areas, towns, etc. just like any other developed nation.
You're joking right ? You are about to be deployed and you are asking if there is any Jungle in Korea? Have you looked at a map? Did you notice how far north Korea is? Do they not give you (or did you not ask for) any basic information about your destination prior to departure? Good Lord. Don't worry, you'll live and work on a base somewhere, eat American Food, watch AFN, and speak "American". Heck, I think they have it fixed so you won't even have to use any Korean currency. You'll never see a North Korean or ever have to actually fight, so don't worry, really, it'll be like you've never left home. To avert some of the boredom, try to live off post, meet some non military Koreans, eat some Korean food and actually have a look around the country. Have fun.
