Where can I find a strip club in Seoul?

Travel Info
or do strip clubs not even exist in South Korea?

Travel Tips
Yes, there are strip clubs in Seoul. However, they are mostly called night clubs and not cheap. Most are located in the Itaewon area of Seoul. Some private clubs (read pay at the door) have strippers. Its all a matter of knowing where to find the clubs. If you don't have a friend to guide you, then you can ask your hotel desk clerk (if its a male) or a deluxe taxi driver (regular taxi drivers for the most part have a very difficult time understanding English). You can even ask in bars - good bar owners will tell you where and bad bar owners will lie to you so that you stay as a customer. Some strippers will only go down to their g-string while others may go all the way (you never know where they stop unless you have seen the act before). Most dancers are Korean but within the past few years Russians have also entered the scene (Korean men are fascinated with blondes), and Filipinas are found from time to time. Some of the more interesting shows are Koreans wearing traditional dress and playing a drum as they strip. The night clubs do not not restrict themselves to strippers but have a variety of acts in their floor shows - everything from croc wrestlers to dancers with snakes. The singers are excellent, the comedy is mostly slapstick style so you can laugh even if you don't understand what they are saying. Also, the martial arts exhibitions are top-notch with blindfolded artists performing unbelieveable stunts. Don't be surprised to see wives there with their husbands. The clubs are there they just aren't as well known as before. But a lot of Japanese tourists and Korean businessmen go to them and spend big money. Its not unusually to see them tipping 100,000 won checks to everyone (about $120 U.S.) So, if you come to Korea enjoy yourself - the clubs are a treat.. why do you want to go to a strip club when you are in beautiful south korea
don't go there. We got some in Texas.
There is alot of prostitution in South Korea, especially in the Itaewon, and Miari areas of Seoul. Anyways you will not find any strip clubs in these areas. I'm not a pro at this, but I've known some people who have went to these places. Look for places called "Sexy bars." The women drink, dance, and strip for you if you pay more. There are many of these in the rural areas of Gyeonggi do. i.e. Ansan, Siheung, Anseong
Most of the "tourist" hotels have "night clubs".

(Tourist hotels in Korea are NOT for foreign tourists, they're designed for locals who are "out of town")

These "night clubs" are generally filled with large blond ladies from Vladivostock who cavort somewhat desultorily, and with apparently little dancing talent, in skimpy outfits, around the traditional poles (not to be confused with ladies from Warsaw).

However, (1) a drink in one of these establishments will cost more than a night's stay with breakfast in the parent hotel and (2) unless you are Korean none of the "dancers" will come within a couple of bargepoles of you.

Most bars (coffee-hof houses) in Korea are staffed by very presentable, attractive and pleasant Korean ladies who will be very happy to practise their english in your company. They will, however, remain fully clothed during (and after) the conversation. And the cost of your drink will certainly be more affordable.
