Travel Info Korean emoticons: My korean friend uses this emoticon .~ What does it mean? Travel Tips I asked my Korean wife about this, and she said most people use it as a friendly sign of "to be continued." I think this makes the most sense. Others Why dont u just ask him Please ask your friend to stop using ~. Koreans use it entirely too often. I really don't know what they mean by it as an emoticon. They often use it in place of an ellipsis. Are u sure thats even an emoticon???? and why don't u just ask your friend? not only koreans use that. hmm... .~ means the dot " . " is the nose, the " ~ " is the eye. the eye is closing. means something like they don't know how to reply u, or ur conversation is too lame/stupid. Its similar with (=.=") It depends on how it's used, but often if it's just a ~ after a word (ex: 鞎勲雼鞎堧厱!) it's meant as a sign of happiness. |
