Travel Info Why does South korea not like The USA? Travel Tips South Koreans don't have a problem with Americans. Actually, I find that americans are highly admired in Korea. Many Koreans want to go the USA to either study or find work. I'm Canadian, and although Koreans like me, I just feel that Americans get more respect than Canadians. Strange, but true from my personal experience. Others im in the military and was just over there in s. korea a few months ago, the reason they dislike us is b/c we have so many bases and "want" more room to expand North Korea doesn't like the US 'cause they are a Communist Country w/a crazy dictator who'd rather see his own people starve in the pursuit of nuclear power... South Korea likes the US 'cause we keep North Korea from coming down and taking over! South Korea likes the US....it's North Korea that hates our guts! You know, when I read such questions, it kind of frustrates me... we always say - "we are doing them a favor, why do they not like us". If we took a moment and reversed roles -say South Korea had military bases in the US with the US having no juristriction on their forces, I am not sure we would like them that much either, would we. Why would we expect anything different? That's not entirely true... plus, it's really North Korea that doesn't like the U.S. but one of the reasons with S. Korea is because of sports matters, esp. with the judging in the olympics between Korean & American players. i think u should post more details/(facts) as to why u think S. Korea doesnt like the U.S. like your question, u seemed to be filled with assumptions. no offense [; me- Korean American (part Indian) |
