my friend told me to go to seoul for learning Korean....
even she said that I can dwell in her family house...
but I am afraid that Koreans don't like whiteys are are rude and hate all foreigners and are vulgar and spit on street on a foreigner and they are often backwarded nationalists who thinks only about their bloodand "pure race" and I heard that they love hitler and stalin and on one hand hate Japan but on other admire them . even some of them hate asian and think they are white
is it true?

Seoul is an AWESOME, clean, beautiful, fun city. I stayed there for 3 weeks and loved it. I plan to go back. I never encountered any negative interactions there at all!!! well, except for an old man who was angry that we were speaking too loudly on the bus.

anyway, there is the stereotype that koreans are xenophobes, but... it's as much a stereotype as saying Americans are fat. Anyway, the younger generation in Korea is very accepting and are very excited to socialize with foreigners (at least the ones Ive met). We partied in the clibs, drank at the Hofs, and went to the bath houses and everything.

of course there have been tensions between japan and korea, but it is slowly fading away-- there are so many aspects of the culture that are shared, and I know plenty of koreans and japanese people who are really good friends with a person from the other country.

so, go to korea. you'll have an interesting experience. you may love it or hate it, but it will be a very good experience. Korean culture IS different from American/other Westerd cultures, but as long as you're accepting and itnerested in learning about the culture, and are easy to get along with, you will have a blast!!!!!

wow you pretty much seem to believe it too..as in i am shocked by all these vulgar statements made by you, whether you heard it or not. anyway, those are not true, you dont have to be afraid. you should know that those things come out from the mouths of racists and people that are extremely paronoid about other nationalities... again, those statements are not true, so you can just ignore them. 90% or whatever, doesnt mean anything.

Anyway, Koreans don't love hitler and stalin. There is some racism towards japanese, however they also love japanese food.

Even if you do encounter a Korean that harbors racist feelings towards your race, they probably will never let you know, and they won't treat you rudely.

Its kind of ironic how in the west asian eyes are considered beautiful, but in the east caucasian eyes are considered beautiful(and apparently eye surgery is common in Korea).

Anyway, you don't have anything to worry about if you travel to Seoul, its a great place, and foreigners are treated very well(much better than the US treats foreigners who don't speak our language well)
for foreign eyes, koreans curiosty in westerners may overwelm you, but those are more like admiration of the looking just try not to so caught up by staring,
and they are shy but willing to help foreginers
as most koreans have relatives and kids living in abroad they know that the foriegner may have difficulties while they live in korea. as they try to help you, oftentimes they over kind toward foreigners and some foreigners take it in wrong way.
and little things like, for example, they throw you questions if you are married ,if you are over 30 and still a single then why didnt? have a kid? how old etc , for westerners those are considered as too personal but in that land, those are just questions to open conversation.
yes, like any other countries, there are bad, dirty, or uneducated people, there are well trimmed area, or filthy area

it's been only about 50years, real democracy has introduced not more than 20years ago, 50years ago, that land literally laid on ashes, before it was under terrible japan oppression for 35years.
what they had left was only each other, some nationalism surely helped korea to develop that much economic growth.
you can see it even in their daily conversation there's always 'us' 'we' instead of 'i' ,'my'. i assure you their nationalism is different from the nationalism what you might think of in general.
for pure race , the country never opened up its gate toward western till 19th century. some missionary and UN military during korean war are all foreigners they've met until recent time, it's been changing that international marriage is increasing

of course look at japan status in this world, even western countries admire japan.
now illegal immigrants from south, middle asia to korea creates quite problem, and imported brides from those countries also
same as any country especially in USA , asian include of south korean and mexican illegal immigrants in their society.

this is absurd, if they have some feelings of superiority , the answer is 'maybe'. and i think they deserve some of the proudness amongst asian countries.

well, if you want to know the land and its people go there without prejudice, live as one of them without comparing everything in that land to your own country,
it would be a big mistake if you judge whole by some distasteful individuals or experience.
