What happens when a handphone goes missing in Korea? Will it be disconnected since it is not using SIM card?

Travel Info
I would like to know what is the typical behaviour of Koreans when their handphones is missing? Will they disconnect their lines since it is not using SIM card? Or will they leave the line unattended to for a few days while searching for their missing phone?

Travel Tips
No they do not leave it open. If no one calls them saying they have found their phone or they call their phone and no one answers then its off to a phone store to replace it and transfer the number to the new phone. I know no Koreans that can go for more than a few hours without having a phone. Source(s): My wife (a very typical Korean) loses two or three phones per year and its battle stations for her until she either finds the lost phone or replaces it.
