Why are there so many no rae bangs (雲鸽灅氚?) in Korea? |
Travel Info I know Koreans like to sing, but there are A LOT of No Rae Bangs (雲鸽灅氚?, AKA singing rooms, in Korea. I counted over 20 within a three block radius. Are they different and unique in their own particular way? Do they all offer a vast difference in song selection? Are they usually busy? I'm very curious. Travel Tips Koreans love to relieve their stress (..didnt know above responder said that already) by singing & they also like it when they can show off their unique singing skills. It's a way to party & have fun. In Korea, there are packs of similar stores on the same rows of block to attract various customers into one place. I don't think they're much different, but when I went to a norebang in Korea in 2000, it had a ddr or pump. Some norebangs here have a small recording room. Norebangs update new song releases, so you can sing the new hits. They're usually busy since it's very popular. Families, friends, & coworkers go together in groups. Others Koreans LOVE to sing! A night out isn't complete without a trip to a 雲鸽灅氚?! And no, most places are pretty much the same and have the same songs. People usually get comfortable with one and keep going there...or choose one depending on price. Well, they ususlly go there to become drunk and sing and dance like mainacs because Koreans drink achoholic things too much. For no reason!!! Korea has a "room" culture. No rae bang, DVD bang, PC Bang, even in restaurants you can get your own bang. Also, some noraebangs offer, uh, naughty women, to sing the songs with you. Typically if you see that many in an area it's a drinking/partying district. We have a section of town called "Hadang" that has probably 30 bars/soju-hofs, 20 noraebangs and 50 restaurants. People tend to "hop" going from one place to another. During the week most of the noraebangs are empty, but on Friday, Saturday night they're full up. People like being able to hang out in a room with their friends and drink. (Within a two minute walk from my house there are 7 PC Bangs...) Something I've noticed is that Koreans tend to go "out" in fairly large groups and they mostly stick together. I cannot figure out how half the businesses in Korea stay open. There's a kimbop shop or a minimart on every single corner and half the time they're empty. So I guess I don't know how to answer your question. Maybe they're all mob covers? aside from their love of singing going to norebang is the easiest way to relieve their stress Es para liberar el stress de todo el dia... |
