Should I buy the T-Card, or the Korean Travel Card? |
Travel Info I'm going to Korea and i'll be using the buses and subways alot and i was wondering which one i should buy to get around. Are they the same card? Which one is more convenient for a tourist? Travel Tips They are really the same card. Also sometimes called T-Money and known in Korean as the 甑愴喌臧€霌? Since you can buy it in 10000 won increments, it is definitely worth the time you save being able to ride on buses and the metro. Source(s): I use my 甑愴喌 臧€霌?a lot. Other Travel Tips The t-Money card is a 2500 Won investment, (less than $3), and will save you money every time you need to transfer.. which will be often. You scan it as you get on and off a bus or subway train... then, if you have to connect to a different bus, or from teh bus to the trains, etc, teh transfer is free. (verses paying another $1 for the next ride) be careful how much you put on the card. If you lose it, the money is gone. Are you a student in Korea and can prove it this summer? Those cards are cheaper. (and fares are cheaper.. as long as you are a visiting foreign student) |
