Odyssey of dating a Korean guy. What should I do?

Travel Info
The story;
I've recently met a guy I've fallen head over heels for. I was staying with a friend for a few weeks while was teaching at a summer camp over at the university. Her two apartment-mates and I became good friends. Two Korean guys, one of which had arrived in the US only two weeks earlier. Let's call him 'DJ'. The three of us and two more of their friends would all hang out, cook food, chat and I would help them all with their homework. (I'm an education major in my last semester and I do a great deal of volunteer work with ESL students). Despite barely being able to speak English, 'DJ' was exceedingly charming. We went out for coffee, talked a great deal and I helped him with some basic adjustment needs. Nothing more than I normally do for an international student. The guys and I had already talked at length about their American hopes and aspirations. They asked me why American (i.e. white) girls didn't seem interested in dating them. I told them it was just stereotypes that

no i think he still has the same feelings for you. im korean and i know how korean parents can be,. they tend to not like other races meeting their children. however, he just wants time so he can explain to his parents, and have a relationship with you that wont be against his parents will.

tough situation. I can't imagine. Well first of all...I think no matter what, love is always worth fighting for. And if he says give him time, then give him time. Just assure him and let him know that you are there to listen and try to be understanding about the whole deal....and another thing - dont try to fight back with the mother or ex gf. that could get you into a big knot.

i think patience is key here. make sure he knows youre still interested.

good luck with everything.
Okay. If he has really strict parents,
then he will have a very hard time.
see.. Koreans are still really strict with their traditions.
If you dont marry another korean then you will be disowned.
If your the eldest son and you dont marry another korean then.. you practically have no chance in being accepted.
If your family is really wealthy then you have absolutely no chance of marrying "wrong". Im suprised he hasnt been put into an arranged marriage. (i'm assuming he's wealthy because he's an international student)
e.g. my parents would freak out if I didnt marry another Korean who wasnt wealthier than I was.. because most Korean born Koreans believe that Korea is the best country and has the best race..
If I didnt marry to a man wealthier then me then his family would be frowned upon because my family would look down on them.
See its all about the family name and making it look good.
heh.. im not looking forward to it but I'll probably be arranged to marry some heir of samsung or hyundai..

As for you.
I suggest for the time being dont get your hopes up too much.
And if you really loved him then dont let him be disowned by his parents or family.
What if you guys suddenly break up??
He would have given up everything just for you
and if you did break up he would have lost everything.
Are you really thinking about staying with this guy for the rest of your life??
Cause if your not. Then please dont hurt him
Let him go
korean parents think all the same..
funny aye?
Most important thing is to give him time and space! It is not easy being Korean as the families are expecting a lot from their children. If he really loves you, he will come back to you. And you both are only at the beginning of a relationship! So, take it easy, don't go there and let him approach you first! Good luck!
