Seoul Hotels? |
Travel Info Would be nice if anyone can recommend me a good hotel in Seoul. I'll be visiting there soon, but havent booked a hotel yet. Thanks in advance. Travel Tips The Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon is ok. Itawon is an area where many foriegners hang out. You also might want to ask a travel agent for good deals. Source(s): http://english.tour2korea.com/ Other Travel Tips W-Hotel is cool and trendy but slightly out of the way Shilla Hotel is convenient for the old town - great business hotel If you don't mind paying a fair bit of money, then I can definately recommend the Park Hyatt in Samsung dong. It's not so close to the airport (nothing is really)... but it's relatively new, the service is immaculate and the rooms are very comfortable, spacious and have great views. The bathrooms are great too. It's right next to the COEX convention centre and mall, and is next to the main subway line (line 2). If you dont want something expensive then there are many very cheap (but still comfortable.. could be a bit noisy on a weekend) motels EVERYWHERE. They will set you back about $20-$70 opposed to the $300+ for a hotel. You can save some money and check into what they call a Yoeg won. They are small hotels that are all over the city and you don't need a reservation. They are about a $30 to $40 a night. These are not to be confused with their famous love hotels though some of them do act as love hotels too. But they will almost certainly not speak any English there and don't expect any hotel services not even an ice machine or vending machines, just rooms. Hamilton Hotel is great for tourists because it is right in the center of the city and the most likely place to find other English speakers. It is not the nicest place... but it isn't bad either. If you don't have much of a budget, there are some FAB hotels near Gangnam. Lotte is very posh. I loved it there. Shilla is my favourite, Grand Hyatt, Inter Continental, Ritz Carlton are good too. For location, Westin is a good choice, lots of shopping around and every easy to get into the subway. |
