Follow up question...Tourist Visa to the USA from Korea? |
Travel Info Previously, I asked about getting tourist visas to the USA for my girlfriend who is Korean...I was told it shouldn't be too hard unless my girlfriends assets are insufficient...Well that seems to be the problem...She tells me her family as well as her finances are not up to par....so I am not sure what to do....I don't want to get turned down and have trouble getting a visa in the future...Anyone have anymore advice for me? Any would be appreciated... Thank you... Travel Tips one thing you can do is book your girlfriend on one of the korean group tours, like hana tour, in order to get the visa. so when she goes to get the visa she can show them she is part of a tour and will be returning on a certain date. then, once you have the visa, cancel the booking and go do whatever you want in america. of course, this is just an idea....... Others You should apply for a Fiance Visa. She doesn't need to have assets, because you (as the visa requestor) are offering support to her. Go to http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m... Once she get to the US you have 3 months to marry her, if you don't, then she have to go back to Korea, or stay illegal. I don't know if she want to do that. I know If you are in USA, you can invite her to come as fiance, with understanding that you'll married within given days.(I think it's 60 days, but, not sure.) I don't know if it can work if you are in Korea, either way, you will need to prove your income to be able to sponsor her. Your parents also can Sponsor her by inviting her with paid round trip ticket, again, they need prove their income, but, it's not need to be much, just little over poverty line income will do. good luck. |
