Travel Tips
it's different... culture's different... food's different... customs...
- you bow... polite
- chopsticks... you share food...
people treat you nice if you treat them nice.
- don't think you'll automatically be treated nice just because you're white.

it depends. in north korea, no. in south, yeah.
As a general rule, we are treated very well in South Korea. Korea is a culture rich country with a ton of history that is enjoyable to tour.

This does not mean, however, that Korea doesn't have their anti American political string running around. They do, but that is a very very small minority.

Korean people are very kind and respectful in most cases and are very sociable as well. Most, especially the older Koreans, know the US military is made up of wonderful and respectful people and haven't forgotten our contribution during the Korean War and know why the US military is still here all too well.
well, I live in Korea and I've met a lot of Americans and Canadians that work here(mostly as English teachers) and most of them find Korea a very interesting place to live.
It depends on where you go, but most big cities in Korea have basically everything you'll need. They have many American restaurants, clothing shops, and etc.
A lot of Koreans are familiar with foreigners, and they will treat you nicely. Have fun in Korea!
Was stationed with Korean soldiers, they are the nicest and polite fellows I've known. They appreciate what we do because they know that we are away from our families to help them in their own country against the North. Also, most of the younger Koreans prefer the American brand products because it is cheaper and longer lasting, although they have some pretty good brands, too. If you're walking down the street, they pretty much ignore you because they know you work there.
Stationed there between 2003-2005
