Travel Tips No. Koreans citizens are not allowed to import more than 1% of their vehicles (at least until the FTA gets approved), so they usually import BMWs, American Cars, Saabs and Volkswagons. The Japanese cars that are here are usually from American servicemembers who brought them over and then bought new ones once they got there. Additionally, there is a lot of animosity towards Japanese here, fueled by SK propoganda to keep the public from looking at SK's own extremely corrupt government (like Dokdo for example). Other Travel Tips Koreans in Korea mostly drive Hyundai cars or korean made cars. They also have Jap cars, but fewer in quantity. Most koreans support local products than overseas products. i think they prefer Korean cars. Koreans are nationalistic people and antagonistic towards the Japanese, so it is understandable they do not drive or buy Japanese cars. Besides, Korean cars are fast approaching the best quality of any make. Lexus is the fastest growing dealership here in Korea, just behind it is Honda.......younger koreans are fad minded purchasers, all things foreign are being bought up at alarming rates. Most local models are very similar to the imports. OLD americans dont think too highly of the japanese either.. Thats why when i travel to japan i practice Bukake on their women and slap them around.. REVENGE is sweet. |
