Active duty service member stationed in S korea doesnt know how to purchase plane tickets overseas to USA? |
Travel Info I would like to go home in April (for 21 days) it is Dec. right now. If I'm trying to buy a plane ticket OUT of korea TO the states, how/where would I do that? How do I find airlines going overseas from another country going to the states? How do I get a military discount on an overseas flight out of country? It's not as easy as just going to Northwest online or orbitz (where they require your purchased ticket to be in state). I'm really missing home. I would like to find tickets soon. How does flying from overseas to instate ( Oregon or SD) even work? Do I buy a ticket from korea to US then state to state or can I buy and overseas ticket with a connecting flight? I hope this makes sense. Thankyou to anyone who can offer advice or help in anyway. Travel Tips Go to Carson Lit, or use a calling card and call the airlines, people take mid tours all the time so it's not an uncommon thing over there. Good luck. Why would you want to fly comercial when you can travel for free on a MAC flight? I realize you might have to wait a day or two, but start checking out schedules now. I believe you can even get on the wainting list before you actually start your leave. There should be plenty of flights out of Osan going stateside, and then once stateside, you can change to a commercial flight or pick up another MAC flight going close to your destination. ok you can try http://www.koreanair.com/ on there home page they have several options, like the country your in and the lanage to use. I would try using these options, USA and English or korea and English. Now for nationial airplane tickets. I would do a search on the internet for airplane companies that do this, most of them will have internationial options and you may find a company that will do a korea to USA and then connecting flights.
