How long before flying should I book my airplane ticket?

I am in South Korea and will finish working in February, I plan to return to South Africa from the 1st of March 2007.

You should always book your ticket as soon as possible, no matter the departure or arrival airports. Booking a ticket three months in advance is normal. The longer you wait, the more expensive the ticket will probably be.

Usually the best promotions are 30 days in advance.
earlier is better, usually around 20-30 days advance before you fly.
