Good Korean Rock Bands?? |
Travel Info I REALLY love Dir en grey, which is a japanese band...but are there any korean bands that are like them? Or any other good korean musicians at all?? (I dislike Bi, FlytotheSky, Boa, and rap music....i do like lee soo young and some of Kangta's songs) Travel Tips Mm.. DEVA is a band that resembles Deg but they disbanded a while ago. Either 2002 or 2004. I'm sure you can still find their music around, though. But other rock bands you might try.. Buzz, Amp, Pia, and Nell. Buzz, Nell and Amp songs are slightly.. softer than Deg songs, though. I don't know if Buzz, Nell and Amp are really your style... OH and can't forget Eve. I definitely recommend Eve if you like Deg. I remember when I first listened to them I thought they resembled Deg. Other ones you might try.. Cloud9, Kim SaRang, Nemesis. I haven't really listened to Deg in a while so I can't tell you if they're really like Deg, but try them out. And one last one, have you heard of Seo Taeji and the Boys? I think they might be slightly poppish. I can't remember. Mm... try them out, too, and see. Others never heard of any Cherry Filter is a rock band in Korea Sure~ Korean rock is great! Some of my favourites are: Transfixion, No Brain, Cherry Filter, Lazy bone, YB band, Rumblefish.... ohhhh so many more! They have tinge of punk flavor to them (some more than others). I think you'll enjoy them! Rhythm and Blues (RnB) seems to be really hot in Korea. Best and the most versatile will be Rain. Understand he has become a cultural ambassador of some sort. There are none, in my opinion. Maybe it's because I prefer classic rock of those in the US/UK, but either way, rock in every country has been warped, and the music industry is more than half dead now. I'm Korean |
