Can a Filipino teacher get a job as an ESL instructor in Korea?

Travel Info
If so, what are the requirements?

Travel Tips
Filipino as in from that country or a citizen from the US/UK etc? If someone is from the Phillipines.... like born and raised there, then no, that person could not legally be an English teacher in Korea. I know a Filipino Canadian who works at my school.

The requirements to be a teacher are:
1.Be a citizen of a country that is 'Enlish Speaking' (only the big ones... Canada, US, UK, Irleland, Australia, NZ and S Africa)
2. Have a BS or BA in ANYTHING

that's it. Source(s): I'm here. I know.

Hi summerdwalker,

Is that right eh?

You're an ESL teacher in Korea and can't even spell English correctly. What a shame. These Koreans are better off going to the Philippines for their ESL.

I am Canadian too!
