What's the best time of year to visit Korea? |
Travel Info Want to avoid the extreme heat or cold. Heard that the fall is nice but maybe spring is ok too? Travel Tips Since I live in South Korea, I shall attempt to answer your question with the limited amount of information. If you want to avoid extreme heat, definitely avoid the June-September timeframe. There are numerous times the humidity comes to within 3 points of the temperature number. Kind of like swimming with your clothes on; it's definitely sticky. If you want to avoid extreme cold, avoid the December-March timeframe. There is definitely a lot to do and see here during your visit; please be aware that the Dollar vs. Won Ratio isn't doing too good right now. Source(s): Actually living here. Other Travel Tips I would say after lunch. Never !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If You Must Go, I Would Recomend The Rainy Season, Commonly Called The Monsoons. Korea is the best every time. But you NEED money in pocket. i had a great time when i went in October. The leaves were changing color and the temperatures were very comfortable. The mixed blessing is it is the vacation time for koreans at this time, 2-3 weeks off and everywhere touristy is crowded, but also there are alot of exhibitions and events going on! winter is good if you wanna try skiing but I cant vouch for if its any good or not- i never tried there yet. Definitely not now. It's FREEZING. I would say aim for April 14-20th this year--'cause I *think* that's when the cherryblossoms will be blooming! It should be stunning. And the weather should be lovely. |
