Why do Koreans think patriotism is a good personal quality? |
Travel Info Actually, their "patriotism" can be quite jingoistic and offensive. Travel Tips If they are so patriotic and noble then why do they whine and cry every time the U.S. Military says it is going to leave. They resist defending their own country by themselves. It's contradictory to jingoism. I think koreans are arrogant and ungrateful. They protest us and they don't want us here, but every time the U.S. gets serious about leaving the korean government comes running with it's tail between it's legs. The truth is without the U.S. deterrance here in the form of the Air Force and 2ID the North Koreans would attack leveling Seoul and killing a projected 3.2 million (proud) koreans in 40 minutes. So, when you meet an arrogant snobbish korean, tell them what I tell them. "Go home and defend your own country, and I always add "So I don't have to!" but that may not be applicable to your situation. Others The same reasons that Americans do. The have pride in their country and it's amazing accomplishments. Don't be so sensitive and you will hae a much better time there. look at the korean history, and u will see how korean people have suffered horrendous invasions constantly through hundreds of years by mongols, Chinese, and of course ******* japs, and some ppl would say by us. So the vision of the reality that the other guy is giving is from the perspective of a looser low graded soldier conscript |
