Where are the cheapest furniture stores in Daegu, South Korea? |
Travel Info I'm interested in buying furnitures for my villa here in Daegu but I don't like to buy the real expensive ones because I'll be staying here for only three (3) years so it'd be not so hard to dispose. Can you help me? Travel Tips Well, luck is with you today !! Are you familiar with Camp Henry? Hopefully so. Anyway, you depart through Camp Henry's Gate #2 (the one facing Camp George), taking the immediate right turn by the weird intersection just in front of the Gate. Keep going straight; you'll curve somewhat right. Go through the first traffic light and keep going straight. The next intersection is named Kon-Du-Bawl-Wi Intersection. (You'll know the intersection - there's a red-brick Catholic Church to your diagonal left.) Keep going straight - you're now at the beginning of numerous furniture stores. Just after this intersection is where the furniture stores start; there are numerous stores down this stretch of road. I suggest "window-shopping" as many of these stores as possible before making a final decision. But, do you want the very best (aka "non-foreigner") prices? Use the trick that numerous other foreigners use - Take a Korean with you when shopping. If you know a KATUSA, use that advantage. KATUSAs are always helpful and friendly. You'll need to secretly show the Korean what you want. Then, walk out of the store. Let the friend and store owner bargain/haggle over the best price to be offered. Also, it's nice to purchase a gift, or perhaps lunch for the person who is doing the pricing/bargaining/haggling for you. Others Depending where you live head down the aspan beltway( across the sinchon river from the 13) ....going towards east daegu not towards the highway 1 and when you go under pass labeled i think number 7 youll see on your right all sorts of appliances and furniture turn off there...I dont remember the name of the market I havent had to go there in quiet a while.... and have at it search many stores ...and barder the price as hard as you can I think there is a furniture store in Sindang-Dong, Dalseo-Gu near in Keimyung University if you are familiar in that place or maybe at the downtown. |
