Quite many customs Korean has.

I will tell you just few things. I am sure other ppl will say more. but I hope you can distinguish between real customs and ppl's bu** sh** story. ;)

When you drink alcohol with older ppl(especially grandma or grandfa's ages) you shouldn't show your face when you drink. you need to turn your head to left or right and drink.

When you have big meal with all family members, you should wait till oldest family member start eatting. then you can start yours.

In other way, when oldest family member stop eatting, then other members should stop eatting as well. you need to catch up with this guy. ;)

Don't worry, not too strick these days anymore. haha

Hm.... I thinking hard of local customs... It is quite funny that I can not think what is real local customs in Korea? They are so westernized by now. Don't remember much.

1thing I remember something interesting of local custom.

When baby girl borns they hang charcoal with grass cord on the door and baby boy for red peppers. It means they have baby boy/girl in this house so please not to visit us for several days. cuz they don't want to have new germ or new bacteria what so ever something new from guest for newly born baby. ( Nobody does that anymore. They did till around 100 years ago?? )

I wish other ppl tell you more.
