Why are Koreans usually so cold and distant? |
Travel Info They give mean face and try to exterminate Americans living in Korea. Travel Tips What the hell are u saying? im not Korean but i absolutely love Korea n its people. Try watching a Korean drama... they are sooooo cute!!!! Others Uhm, I'm not sure...but I'm sure not all of the Korean people are like that. This is to cover up their inferiority complex. If Koreans were organizing and killing Americans in Korea, the news would definitely cover it! How do you know they are trying to eliminate Americans? I know many Koreans, and they don't mind Americans. Perhaps the American military in Korea can be bothersome, but not enough for the Koreans to try and kill them. If you are talking about North Korea, then this is also not true. North Koreans would love for an American to get caught in their country. The government kidnaps foreigners in the country to teach their languages to its officials, and English is quite valuable! Hmm but I thought they were inspired by those American Music that's why korean music is the best of Asia! I know that South Korea was controlled by United States (or still is) in the war but they helped them alot so wtf! and North Korea is still probably controlled by Russia but Kim Jong Ij taking it too far! he's the far most the evilest korean I know! but I guess young people don't know about much about the past of Korea and United States but old people probably do. Could be from eating dog meat and I won`t even go into how they prepare the dogs for slaughter, its bad enough to make a person ill. So can one expect a kind demeanor from people who perform such activity. I am confused by your question (or, in fact, statement). I am an American who has lived on-and-off in South Korea for the past 36 years. My wife is Korean. South Koreans, in general, appreciate what the US did to free them in the Korean War. A few hotheads (most young) resent the fact that the US (and other nations of the United Nations Command) have been there too long. But, recently, when I was in Seoul, there was a well-publicized demonstration against the US by young people (some say their leaders are paid by North Korea) while another peaceful march by (most older) people thanking the US went largely unnoticed by CNN, etc. The Korean people (that is, of the Korean culture regardless of post-World War II divisions) were largely mistreated by their rulers - whether Korean kings or Japanese ocupiers. There was much suspicion and fear of the leaders among the poorer people. This led to people being seen as cold and distant with regard to politics; however, the Korean people have traditionally been emotional people, liking to sing and dance, argue, fight, and display feelings unlike most Asians. Aside from the radicals currently protesting the US military, almost all the Koreans I know are warm, kind, loving, caring people. |
