Travel Info How long does it take to send a letter (snail mail) to New York from Seoul? Travel Tips 7-14 days by postal system, 3 days by FedEx or UPS. Others About ten days by air-mail. A few days by express mail. 48 hours by UPS Air of FedEx. It all depends on weekends and holidays on both ends...AND how full the airplane is!! I've had letters reach me within a week, while others have taken 3 weeks!! Because you are writing in English (I assume), it may take a little longer, since the post office here has to find someone who understands what you wrote and WHERE the place is. Even though you have an address, Korean cities often (ok, MOSTLY) don't have street names (blame it on the Japanese!!). If he/she is in a smaller city, it might take a little more time.
