Travel Info and what is the best love story in a movie in Korea? like Titanic here in America? i'll pick u for best answer for the most information! Travel Tips I'm a korean, Living in Korea :) Well, to tell you very easily, there are 4movies that korea picks 1. Taegukgi 2. Silmido 3. King and the Clown 4. The Host these 4 movies are the best made movies since 2000. before 2000, I think korean movies were boring. Well to tell you more these 4 movies are very Popular in Korea. 25% of the Korean people watched it in theaters and almost 80% saw these movies by videos. I hope this helped you :) Others i think its MY SASSY GIRL because its not only popular in korea but to some parts of ASIA. hahaha...you'll believe me if you have already seen the movie. then you can compare it to titanic in america. Its just so UNIQUE! "Taegukgi" and "The King's Man" (also called "The King and the Clown") were quite popular. They had high box office viewership. "Taegukgi" is about the changes two brothers go through after being drafted into the Korean War. "The King's Man" is a love story, but not in the traditional sense since it is between men. "The Classic" probably has one of the best love stories and like "Titanic" it doesn't work out as we would hope. "3-Iron" has an interesting love story since neither of the main characters speak throughout the movie. However, that makes the story quite intriguing since nothing is ever said yet the characters find a way to connect emotionally. "Green Chair" is about the relationship between a minor (under 20 in Korea) and a 30 year old woman and how they deal with society's views of them. It would probably have an NC-17 rating in the states because of some sexually explicit content. Taeguki which others have mention is pretty good if you into war saving private ryan type movies. But if your looking for more love type stories than I think the best one is My Sassy Girl. This movie is so funny, good romantic comedy. Windstruck Is also really good if you liked My Sassy girl, same director same actress. il mare is the original korean version of the lakehouse with keanu and sandra bullock, the original is so much better. The Classic is also a good love story. A moment to Remember is also good if your looking for a good cry. There really a lot of good movies. Well, the answer would have to be in two categories. If you mean most popular by the most viewed, then it would be Taegukgi. If you mean the one that people liked the most, that would depend on personal preference. My Sassy Girl is a good way to introduce Korean movies in a lighthearted way, it's a romantic comedy that sells well outside of Korea and was a big hit in Korea as well.
