How much money do you need for a working holiday visa in korea? |
Travel Info I'm moving to korea and I have no idea what kind of visa I should get. As well I don't know what I am supposed to bring... I want to teach english but you need a university degree. Is there some website that has jobs in seoul? Travel Tips You need to do much more research. First, you cannot earn any money under a Tourist visa. Second, you cannot get a Work visa unless a Korean school or business sponsors you. Third, without a university degree, you will be unlikely to get a good job teaching. If you are really intersted in teaching in Korea, come visit as a tourist (US citizens can stay 30 days without a visa). During that time, you can have job interviews, but can not take a job. If you find a suitable position, you have to leave Korea, get a work visa, and then return. But, be careful, there are many stories of people coming to teach in Korea who have been cheated by the school or recruiting agency (no good housing, many more work hours than in the contract, no return ticket home, etc.).
