Travel Info
I'm 20.. live in Ireland.. Have hongkong and irish passport..
I'll be going to Korea for a holiday and if it's nice.. i may want to stay there.. what are the chances of me getting a visa?

Travel Tips
You don't need one for a tourist visa

but if you decide you want to stay, get a job teaching English and they'll arrange a work visa for you.

Don't need Korean to work there. There are lots of Korean language schools if you are in Seoul. They are usually reasonable priced and have various schedules to suit your needs.

i lived and worked there for 5 years and just got back to the states a few months ago. i think you have up to 30 days without a visa. if youre looking to work there, be careful of the place that youll work and try to contact someone there that has worked there and can tell you if the owner is honest and good to their employees~
If you're a native english speaker the easiest way to get a visa is to become a teacher in a hagwon or public school. You have to have a college degree to qualify for the work visa. Honestly, other than that I don't know. Or you can make "visa runs". I'm not sure what the policy is for Ireland, but U.S. citizens can stay in Korea for 30 days without a visa. At the end of the 30 days you fly to china or japan and then re-enter Korea for another 30 days.
ok, ill be serious with you, i have been living here in korea for 1 year now, and i tell u frankly, it sucks. my mom and dad are korean, i was born in new zealand, and it so happens that my mom and dad , INSTEAD got me a Korean National citizen. In here, Koreans are Racist and they hate people who are not koreans. And its hard to find a job, EVEN if you speak korean. the only job you can get is, english teacher. with u can get $2000 a month, which is not bad, but...... food are ridiculously expensive for no reason. RIP OFF KOREANS

A good studio appartment would cost you $1000 or more,

and did i not mention that koreans are sexist also?
Rude to women, very disgusting. I'm leaving korea soon and im glad to leave this country.
right now its hard to find a job, even korean people cant find a job unless u have a connections.
