Transportation in Korea? |
Travel Info I am intending to travel to Korea in late November 2007 with 4 adults and 6 children. I do not want to follow a tour as there are a lot of unnecessary places to visit. Our itinerary is to visit Yongpyong ski resort for 4 days, Lotte World Theme Park for 3 days and Seoul for 3 days. Is it possible to get a local travel agency there to arrange the accomodation and transport for us with this itinerary? Presently in my home country, Singapore, no tour agent is willing to make arrangements for us. Thanks. Travel Tips That is a good question. Here is a web site for a Korean tourism site. http://english.tour2korea.com/01tripplan... If you are staying at a nicer hotel they could proabably just hire a taxi for the day for you. It would probably be best to do that but ask the hotel. I am sure they would know best. Others Korea has excellent train and bus services nation-wide. There's no reason to book things in advance. The train and bus depots in the major cities have schedules posted in Korean and English although some smaller towns may be Korean only. That's not a really big deal though as Korean (unlike most other Asian languages) uses a phonetic alphabet -- called Han Gul -- of 24 letters. You can learn it in less than a day! Lived in Korea for a year. I don't know to be honest. |
