Travel Tips
Over the last 35 years, I have lived in Korea for 3 years, visited 20 or more times, and am married to a Korean. I speak enough Korean to keep from getting lost.

I love Korea and the Korean people. Yes, some can be reluctant to speak English, but this is changing. In fact, in 1967, when I first went there, it was hard to find an English speaker (aside from my fiancee). Today, Koeans are almost crazy about learning English. Koreans can be warm and friendly, but only after they get to know and trust you.

I like the beautiful countryside, kind people, long and interesting history, great food, a great subway system in Seoul (less in Pusan), wonderful television dramas and music, etc.

All-in-all, Korea is an interesting and wonderful place to visit or live.

Others
I was in Korea for a year, 1997 to 98, and I enjoyed it, traveled all over. Ate in many restaurants (love Korean Food) and it was a great experience.
I'm not sure what to think. What does pssse mean? As far as my opinion on South Korea, I loved it. I lived there (Seoul) for two years. There is a never ending supply of things to do.
I'd LOVE to go. It's on my list of "Must see places before I get old and/or die!" Plus don't you think Korean sounds GORGEOUS?
My experience with South Korea wasn't very good. I had food poisoning there and it was the sickest I have ever been. We got yell at by random Korean ladies for doing just the most normal things. Seems like not a lot of people speaks English even in the tourist area (like Lotte Land) And I was even in a tour group and didn't have to go around by ourselves! But the places we visited was very pretty. And being able to sit in a hot spring with snow next to you and stars above you.......that experience it can't be beat.
Don't say 'Some people think S?K is passe'. You wanted to say so. I guess.

And~don't start bul*shi*ting.
i love south korea! and i'm very interested in their language,Hangul. i wish i was born there! :)
