What is there fun to do in Las Vegas with a 13 month old baby? |
Travel Info Mom, dad, and baby are going to vegas for a free vacation and don't really know what there is to do...except dad will be gambling away kiddo's college fund!@$^%!@ Travel Tips Take him to the dolphin show/exhibit at the Mirage. the front desk has a huge aquarium behind the front desk. There's other animals too...but everyone like's to touch and play with dolphins. Also, MGM has a free lion exhibit in the main building. Mandalay bay has a huge shark and sea life exhibit. Excalibur has entertainers walking around....free shows on the second floor, mimes (they're really good) if your going to be on the strip...allot of the casino's have themed entertainers dressed in costume. Ballagio has hourly dancing water shows at night, and the pirate ship show outside next-door. (i cant remember the name of that casino) Oh, the Rio has the show in the sky @ main casino-free. When you go...grab yourself a "What's On" magazine. They will tell you what show's are on and coupons inside. you can find them at most casino, convience store's, skyharbor airport. Do go down to freemont street experience at night and catch a show on the big white overhead screen! It's cool! Others Hire a babysitter. Why would anyone go to Vegas with an infant? It's bad enough people go with screaming kids. Infants? What's wrong with you people? If your kid cant split 'em at the 21 table, dont go. Regardless of the PP there are some fun things to with kids in Vegas. At 13 months I think the best place would be the pool. If you are staying on the strip their isn't much for the baby besides on site daycare at the nicer hotels. Off the strip you can find the typical baby places such as Gymboree. Vegas is a normal city off the strip. http://www.summerdreamsvacation.com... you can do pretty much anything with the baby Las Vegas is designed for small children and adults its when your 17 like me and have to go there is nothing to do but go to the hooters casino hotel i just got back from Vegas today Dee is right - Vegas is NOT fun with a child, especially one as young as yours. Most shows aren't acceptable - and those that are might be too loud or otherwise scary. The casinos are out because of age, but not only that - the secondhand smoke can be stifiling, not to mention the drunk people. Someone I worked with moved to Vegas with her 18 month old (hubby got transferred to Nellis) and ALL they did, ALL DAY LONG is walk along the Strip because that's the ONLY thing that interested him. He had ZERO interest in things like the Dolphin habitat at the Mirage, or the Lions at MGM, or Shark Reef at Mandalay. You can also pretty much forget about a stroller - they're a nightmare to maneuve thru the huge crowds on the streets. Other than that - have a ball. |
