Whast is a good bar in Las Vegas for a group of guys to have a good time? |
Travel Info Am going to Vegas with a group of my friends for the 21st birthday celebration. I would like to know some fun, relatively cheap(er) bars that are kind of different. Would also like to make at least a trip or two to a higher end bar but really just want to drink, get crazy, meet some ladies and make a fool of ourselves in Vegas. Any help? Travel Tips I would suggest Coyote Ugly. If you get there before 8 p.m. there is no cover charge. Every time I've gone to NY NY, I've seen girls dancing on the bars in their bras at Coyote Ugly (and some taking off their bras to add to the "bra wall of fame"). I think it's a perfect place to start your night with guys. Average drink price: $6.50. 2-for-1 drinks 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. daily. They only serve shots and beers, no mixed drinks. If you don't want to pay a cover but still see the ladies, just stand outside the bar (you can get plenty of drinks in the vicinity there) and watch them on the TV monitors :) always a good time. If you're looking for a "pub" atmosphere, Nine Fine Irishmen is a great place (also at NY NY). I saw a couple of guys doing Irish Carbombs in there at 10am last time I was in Vegas. Always a party going on there. No cover charge. ESPN Zone is another great place if you're sports fans. Tons of TV's with anything you want to watch, excellent food and drink prices are really reasonable. They have a great selection of mixed drinks and beers. No cover charge, but if you sit in the restaurant area it's $10 per person, per hour food/beverage minimum. Others Sadly, my last two trips to Vegas was dissapointing! It just seems like another Hollywood, CA. It's cool to go to the high end/expensive clubs i.e., Pure, Tryst, Tao, just for the experience, but you're bound to run into a bunch of self-centered, egotistical people, especially the women. Everybody tries to act and be like some big shot. (Like I really give a f*** who they are. I'm just there to drink, gamble, and have a good time.) Many of the women that frequent the "popular" clubs are really stuck up. Be prepared to shell out some money if you go to the nightclubs that are "highly publicized". The drinks are overpriced, the lines are very long, and it's $20 - $30 a head just to get in!!! Watch out for the escorts that roam the casino's during the early morning hours that claim to want to "party" with you. You get free drinks if you gamble. So do that from time to time and get free drinks! Be sure to tip the cocktail lady if you want her to come back around though. From what I hear, the better places are off the strip. I also heard NY, NY was a good place. I suggest going bar hopping. That's what I'll be doing the next time I go there. Jump from place to place and see what type of people are in bar and see if the women are social. If not, move on to the next with your drink in your hand. The good thing about Vegas is that many of the bars/clubs stay open till 4 - 5 in the morning and you can drink in public on the street. There are even after hours places to continue to get your party on! NY/NY has two fun bars that are not high end clubs but a lot of fun - one is a piano bar that it right in the middle of everything. The other is an Irish pub called Nine Fine Irishmen that has live music every night. Also, an off-the-beaten-path option might be the Hofbrau house - it is a replica of the real one in Munich. I only went there once and it was a little slower than I would have liked - great specially imported beer, pretzels, food and ooompah music - but not quite enough people there to make the place buzz. I have heard it can be great, but didn't see it in my only visit. Go to the Hard Rock Casino. You can stay inexpensive at the Amerisuites which is right across the street and they will even shuttle you to the strip if you are too tired to walk the 15 minutes to get there. Hard Rock is crazy - you never know who you are going to run into....Lots of young people and every night is a big party. For high end - go to the Wynn. You just can't be at a nicer place. Very high end and just beautiful. If you want to see a truly upscale place you should at least walk thru it. I like to gamble there - great atmosphere. For fun - go to the Mirage...they are transforming into a 60s Beatles type place. They have a new bar called Revolution and you must see the show (if you have some bucks) LOVE by Cirque de Solei at the mirage...it is Beatles music and is just awesome. But the whole 60s thing is fun at the Mirage and is attracting lots of young kids (and older boomers!) And that German bar/restaurant is right across the street from Amerisuites. It can get crazy in the evening. It is a good starting place or ending place or in between place. I have heard about a crazy bar at the MGM but I have never been there - too wild for me... MGM is art deco style. In Vegas you really can just make a party wherever you are. This Sounds to good to be True But I have picked up most of the women in Vegas up at the blackjack table or the Craps table this is where you can talk to them and get to know them and I hear a lot of European women and Asians like to play Roulette. Just play low limits and get your drinks for free and be nice to the women and of Corse by all Means Be a Gentleman Like Sinatra Smooth but adult Gambler Jesus, who asked Kevin B? What a downer! Vegas is a great time. The nightspots usually wind up being what you bring to them. If you're looking for cheap, avoid the big clubs (unless you like standing in line for 3 hours, guys don't get in easily without money or a girl on their arms)... however, I did have luck getting into Rain at The Palms pretty quickly one time I was out there. But you can have plenty of fun even in some of the smaller casino bars on the strip (i.e. Caramel at Bellagio, Mist at Treasure Island, etc.). Every casino usually has at least one bar without a cover that you can duck into. I've found that its actually easier to talk to the girls at those places without the loud music, and you'll usually run into a bachelorette party or two. From there, you can go up to an "ultralounge" which might run you $40 cover for a slightly bigger bar. I've heard good things about Voodoo Lounge at Rio and Moon or Ghost Bar at The Palms. Have fun! |
