Need ideas for Vegas after-wedding evening...? |
Travel Info I am getting married in Vegas on 9/15. We cannot afford a reception and also don't want to plan one, so we're not having one. However, I need some ideas for what to do with my 25 guests immediately after the wedding. I know everyone will say dinner, but that won't be practical, because with the wedding at 7 pm, and pictures after that it won't be over until late. I was thinking cake and champagne in our hotel room. What do you think? Any other ideas? Travel Tips Why dont you just take the whole party to a bar in the casino where the wedding is and continue the party? When we got married at the Strat, that was one of the great things about having a Vegas wedding. After the reception, we went back to the room and everyone else went downstairs, took over the casino bar and partied until the sun came up. It was one of things everyone commented on afterwards saying they had such a great time all night long. Others Are you staying in a gigantic suite? 25 people in a hotel room sounds claustraphobic and boring. I would suggest taking everyone to Sam's Town for their buffet. It was voted best buffet by Rachel Ray on her show, "$40-A-Day". You and your new husband might get some comps in your wedding attire. Go out! It's Vegas, Baby! Will your wedding be at a hotel or chapel? If it is at a hotel, maybe they might be able to offer you a small meeting or hospitality room where you can possibly have appetizers, cake, and champagne. Even though money is tight for you right now, it is a good/nice gesture to offer your guest SOMETHING to eat and drink after coming all this way to celebrate with you. To help cut down on the cost, you can get a tray of food,a small cake, and some decent champagne from the local grocery store for no more than $100. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I'm sure that it will be the most memorable day of your life. Reserve a cabana outside by the pool. Guests will enjoy the lights reflecting off the pool and they always have music playing. Also can have an area for dancing. That way everyone is able to roam and not disturb other hotel guests. Are they all adults? After my brothers reception we all hung out in the lounge at the Luxor.
