Is the Move From Honolulu To Las Vegas Worth it? |
Travel Info Anyone From Hawaii Or Las Vegas Please Answer....Do you think we will save more? Travel Tips I am from Hawaii and have been living in Las Vegas now for a long time now. I love it here in Vegas! It is a lot cheaper than Hawaii I tell you that much. Since I've been here, I've seen residents and my Ohana move down here. And they all like it here. And if you start to miss home while living here, the air fares are affordable. If you sell your house in Hawaii, with the cost of land there, you can afford the houses here. Real Estate is so slow right now, now is a good time to buy houses here in town. They have incentives along with lowered prices on their houses. I don't know what your living accomodations are in Hawaii, but the cost of living here is more affordable than Hawaii right now. There are a lot of Hawaiian Stores and Restaurants here in town also. The only problem that is different from here and Hawaii is not a lot of Ohana mentality from everyone here other than the Hawaiian people. But thats expected. Hoped I helped. Mahalo! Others I am from Las Vegas and have since 1993. When we first moved here it was relatively cheap living. That is why all the Californians started to move here. Now it is much more expensive the 14 years ago. A lot of Hawaiians have moved here. Personally, I would much rather live in Hawaii. I hate Vegas. It's too darn hot. You want to move from Heaven to Hell?!? Are you nuts? Stay in Hawaii... i don't know. las vegas is getting pretty expensive to live. it depends on what part of town you will be living in. But the entertainment is expensive around here, new homes are outregeous, but you can find a nice used home at a good price right now. The real good thing about nevada is that there is no state income tax here. but they get you in other areas to make this up. stay in HAWAII please its getting more and more expensive here its not all party all the time its soooo hot and i garentee it will not be anything near what you expect i live here and have for 13 years! trust me when i say STAY IN HAWAII! VEGAS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Stay away. Unless you aspire to live in a white trash wasteland |
