Has anyone been to the voo doo lounge in las vegas? |
Travel Info what did you think? What is the normal coverage charge ? What is the best time to get there? Can you eat dinner there- Any thoughts about going there? Is it worth the money? Travel Tips yes i have been to the voodoo lounge and it was very good. The play dance/house type music and there is nowhere to sit outside (unless you pay for bottle service) which is a bit of a downer but I would still recommend going there 100% as everyone will be standing up mingling anyway. the normal cover charge is $10 but on the rio website you can print out free passes that work every night except saturday http://www.riovegasnights.com/index2.cfm... You need to get there by 10pm (9.30pm) to be on the safe side due to the queue. Last time i was there on a thursday night it really started to get going just between 10 and 10.30pm. There is a restaurant on the 50th floor but i have never tried it. Drinks are expensive e.g. a screwdriver cost me something like $13 but their cocktail 'The Witchdoctor' is worth the $25 most would agree. The ride up in the outside glass elevator and the view at the top are both worth the trip btw if nothing else. Others Its a great place to stop for a few drinks to enjoy an excellent view. I actually proposed to my wife up there and it was definitely a night to remember. I dont know about the cover charge as I am a Harrahs Diamond member which gives free access. I imagine it is probably around $10, which isnt too bad in Vegas. I would get there about dusk so you can enjoy the lights coming up on the town. You can definitely eat dinner there as it is actually two places in one. The restaurant is on the bottom level and the lounge is one floor up. Just adding my 2 cents ;) Great view....and you can't beat the warm vegas summer night breeze - but way overpriced. $20 cover and the drinks are way expensive. Not a bad place, but if money is no object, there are way better places to party. I thought it was worth it- I loved the view and the music but it was really crowded. The elevator you take up is also cool because it is windows. We went on a Saturday night and the cover charge was $30. It's best to get there before ten to avoid standing in a really long line. |
