Travel Info Do i need a car in las vegas for a weekend trip? Travel Tips I would not. So easy to get from airport. You can take cabs and the bus to anywhere you want to go that you can't walk to. I think it's an added cost and you have the pain of the traffic and parking. I was there 2 years ago for a week and did fine without. HAVE FUN!!! Others Yes. Whenever I came as a tourist needed the car. It is the fastest way to move around this city. I live here now and you cannot survive without one. it all depends on what you are planning to do/see. if you plan to stay around the "strip area" or downtown Vegas, you DO NOT need a car. there are buses, trolleys, cabs, etc... that will get you around town. traffic and parking can be a nightmare so save yourself the stress and money. mostly everything is in walking distance on the "strip" HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... been there 5 times, 2 without a car, 3 with. on the three trips we took day trips to the grand canyon and LA nope. i would ride the las vegas monorail, because its cheap and goes all around the strip yes there lot u can do If have a show to go to that is out of your area, then you might need a car. If you are on the strip you can use the bus, trolley or monorail. If you are on Fremont street, you can get anywhere you want on that street by walking, (and it is safe). Finally, at most casino's you can probably get by without leaving the place. This would be easy if it was just for a weekend trip. p.s. Cab=$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
