Some help with a hotel, please ??

There are 3 of us (all girls) traveling to Las Vegas and I'm trying to find us an inexpensive (yet comfy & clean) hotel to stay at that isn't that far of a walking distance to the strip. We'll all be staying in the same room. Can anyone that's been there give me any hotel ideas or just tips for staying there in general ??? Thanks.

of course i don't know your budget, most people here will recommend places that are NOT inexpensive such as TI, mirage, caesars etc.

inexpensive, decent accommodation on the strip All of these can be got for between $40-$60 a night (only book the tower i mention, some of the rooms in these hotels are in towers built in the 1950s so be careful):
1.tangiers tower in sahara hotel
2.west tower rooms in circus circus
3.stratosphere
4.island tower rooms in the tropicana

Off strip but with free bus shuttles to the strip (you can get these for between $30-$70 a night usually)
1.Orleans
2.Gold Coast

of all those hotels i mention Orleans is the best but Tropicana is in the best location at the south end of the strip next door to MGM, New York, Excalibur etc.
Others

the only hotel i know that is decent is something like treasure island or something, its a long that line though.. but if u really wana have fun you should stay at the W Hotels!

Go to cheapovegas.com!You can look at reviews and see what the different casinos offer.I know the excalibur casino was running some fantastic deals for booking a room,$25 food credit and a $25 match play at any table.I am staying there next month,I cant wait!
Here is a Thought Stay at the Monte Carlo its Smack dab in the best Locale On the Strip next to NY NY across from MGM and next to the Bellagio

Palace Station
The Orleans
Gold Coast

All of these have decent buffets.
