Where to stay in Las Vegas?

Travel Info
I'm planning a trip to stay in Vegas, I've been reading the reviews and I still can't decide. I want something that's nice and luxurious but at the same time not too much- (I've read that places like the Bellagio feels a little snobby and pretentious)- because I still want to go crazy and have fun. Any suggestions?

Travel Tips
I've been to Vegas many times and well, it just depends. You generally get what you pay for. You don't mention your age, so I'll say that if you're under 30 you might want to try the Palms or the Hard Rock. Lots of young people and a "party all the time" atmosphere. On the down side, they're sort of off the strip, so you have to take a cab or a limo (do NOT use the bus) to get anywhere.
If you go to the individual web sites of the hotel and sign up for their email offers, you can sometimes get some decent bargains on rooms for certain days. If you can go midweek, you can save as much as 50% of weekend rates.
If you want to stay on the strip, and you want a luxury room, Bellagio, Venetian, Mirage, THEHotel at Mandalay Bay, and the Wynn are all very nice. Ceasars is also good, but overpriced in my opinion.
If you want to stay downtown, (and if this is your first trip to Vegas I would recommend visiting, but not staying, downtown) the Golden Nugget is really the only place. The rooms are just as nice as most of those on the strip, and a lot cheaper.
Hope this helps. If you want to ask anything, please email me at madmandan2@yahoo.com.
And even if you don't, email me and let me know how your trip went. I'm probably the only person in the world who actually enjoys other peoples vacation stories.

Ceacers dafinitley its classy but for young people they have awsome clubs and shows also flamingo they have water slides and alooot of young people stay there have fun bye!!!
I go to Vegas three or more times a year and it depends on a lot of who you are going with. However, I have never had a problem with New York New York. It is fun and has a lot of fun stuff inside it, Coyote Ugly and is not too expensive but it is still a nice place. Plus it is in a good location.
