How would you rate the "plaza" in las vegas nevada? |
Travel Info we plan on maybe staying there! im going there for my 21st! i was raised in las vegas nevada but havent been there in 10 years so its been a long time and trying to get ideas of where to go what to do for my 21!!! so Help me out! thanks everyone Travel Tips I always use this philosophy when I stay in Vegas. A hotel room is just a place to sleep and take a shower. The other answers said that you are going to be bored at the Plaza. Well I don't expect you to stay in your hotel the whole trip. The Plaza is an older hotel, but it offers cheap rooms, has several dining options, several bars and a pool. Plus, it is located at the end of the Freemont Street Experience, well within walking distance to the other downtown hotels and bars. What more do you want for where you are staying. This is your 21st birthday and I don't expect you to stay in one place all the time. You can very easily get to the strip in a few minutes or go the other way and go to any of the outer casinos, such as those on the Boulder Strip. If you want to be pampered and never leave your hotel, then the Plaza is probably not the place to go, but if you are going to go out and have fun, then there is nothing wrong with it. Source(s): Been there, done that, stayed there. Other Travel Tips I am not a fan of the downtown hotels, but they say it is nice, but it is an older hotel. I just do not feel safe in the downtown area. I wouldn't stay there for my 21st birthday, you will bored out of your mind Downtown stay on the strip. The Plaza is located downtown so it's an older hotel/casino. You'll probably become bored very quickly. There's not a lot to do down there and in my opinion, it's not very safe. You should stay on the Strip instead. I live in Vegas and my favorite place to stay is TI. It's not real expensive but has a lot to offer. There's a nightclub (Tangerine) and a great sushi restaurant (Social House). AND it's located next to the Mirage, Wynn, and the Venetian. So you can easily access other places of interest. If you want to stay on the south end of the Strip, I recommend either MGM or Mandalay Bay. They also have nightclubs and restaurants. Hope this helps, send an email if you want more info. Good Luck! DUMP Stayed at the Plaza October 14-17th, 2006. stayed in Room 1418. The room looked right down on Fremont street and you could see the Swimming pool off to the right....I'd stay there again in a heartbeat! We had 2 queen or king size Beds in the room, a table and chairs...and a nice Dressing area. The Tub and stool were very close, but the room was large and comfortable.....the art was horrible, but what the heck! I was really worried from all the reviews I had read, but staff was friendly, and check in and out was about 5 minutes. And yes there was a 3x4" rip in the wall paper in the room....if I go again, I'll take some paste and fix it myself....I don't know why they didn't do it...but would it sway me from staying there again? Hell no! I go to gamble and have a good time! Not to sit in my room!....which was clean by the way! Go, and have a Ball! PS...Water Pressure in the Shower was fine and we never ran out of Hot Water....the toilet flushed fine, and heater/air worked fine,,,and did not make any extra noise...my daughter's boyfriend (they were staying at Fitzgeralds) went up one afternoon, and fell asleep on the bed, and slept for 6 hours! Said the bed was more comfortable there than at the Fitzgerald! I'd rate it at least an 7 out of 10! 1 demerit for the Art, and 1 for not fixing the small tear in the wallpaper, and 1 because I had a hard time winning on their slot machines! |
