What do you think of a Hotel?

A group of friends and I are going to Las Vegas in July. We will stay in Luxor. What do you think of that hotel? I am looking for a Suite to. If luxor is not that good of a hotel, which hotel do you recommend?

I always stay at The Mirage. There are less children there and they really police people trying to bring children in the casino. I have been to shows at the Luxor (the Blue Men are wonderful) and it was nice. I do not know how the rooms are.
Here is my answer from a few days ago...

Luxor is a pretty nice hotel. On your first stay there, make sure you get a pyramid room. The elevators that move sideways are pretty cool plus you will get to experience banging your head against the slanted window in the room!

They have several good restaurants (the Steakhouse is excellent) plus a large food court for quickie food. They have an IMAX theater, decent sized arcade and a few other things to occupy your time. There are a few shops in the hotel but it is connected to Mandalay Bay by a medium sized shopping area called Mandalay Place. It is also connected on the other side to Excalibur. The pool area is quite large and always has at least 1 pool open year round. The spa is also pretty big.

The one complaint many people have about Luxor is that it can be confusing to get around in. I have a map of the place on my site and if you decide to stay there, check it out and get familiar with it to avoid wandering aimlessly! Here is the link...

The Luxor is a very nice hotel, I would stay there any time, it is unique
the hotel is ok. but if you're planning on going out at night you're on the wrong end of the strip for the under 40 crowd.

it is a nice place to stay and it is a good location. My only problem is there tend to be more people there because of the mall between the Luxor and the Bay, plus I always lose at that casino.
