Give me your rough estimate cost for this Vegas trip...?

Travel Info
I am going for 5 days and 4 nights in mid-August.

The room and flight are already paid for, so don't factor those in.

I am going to gamble, but not a ton. Maybe $50/day max.

My friends and I plan on eating for as cheap as we can all week; we do not need fancy dining to be happy. We also plan on purchasing alcohol to keep in the room, assuming it will be cheaper to drink that way before going out at night.

We plan on going out every night to bars (not chic night clubs, just bars). I doubt that we will catch a show, but maybe one at the most if something piques our interests.

So, how much do you think we will spend in Vegas?

Other Travel Tips
first of all as long as you are gambling , you drink for free so you could save some money on the drinks and gamble longer , I mean that is the fun of vegas right ? you can eat at some really good buffets pretty cheap. clubs ,,,, dont know I dont go to them.

so if you spent 50 bucks a day for 5 days ... 250.00
food .... I would say 200.00 if you only plan on eating to survive.
I would suggest about 800.00 to cover everything , there so much to do there that you want to have some extra cash to enjoy the trip !
$50.00. You can't take a cab from the airport to downtown for that. As long as you sit at a table and play the drinks are free if you don't count the waitress or waiter tip. There are still 50 cent crap tables downtown but you have to look hard to find them. If you go to the "strip" expect a $10.00 minimum on any table games. That's 5 hands for your $50.00 bucks. About 10 minutes in the casino. As far as bars. Your better off staying home. They're just as expensive as the casinos.
I'd say, calculating your $50/day max. on gambling into this equation, you might spend $100/day (that's including meals and alcohol). Alcohol isn't expensive Vegas either. Have fun!
I would want to have upwards of at least $150 a day. You end up spending a lot of money on little things each day. Money seems to fly out of your wallet in Vegas. Tips alone will run you a minimum of $25 since you have to tip everyone. Many bars are now charging $10+ for a drink so things can get expensive quick. And the last thing you want is to be broke on your last day and really have to scrimp to get by.

Here are a couple of tips for saving some money while in town...

Grab the freebie tourist mags. You can find then in your room, at the front desk or in the airport. They have tons of 2 for 1s and discounts.

Play at the casino bars. Your drink service is far better than a waitress in the casino and your drinks are still free with just a tip for the bartenders. You can play slowly while having fun with your friends.

Try the $4.95 steak dinner at Ellis Island. It is right behind Bally's and is the best meal deal in Vegas.

Have a great trip!
$500 per person. I would take $750. If you get a comp card and gamble at one place, then you will get a comp card and get a discount at the buffets. Otherwise I think you have it well planed out.
